Shipping policy
HOT SEASON NOTICE: If your destination shows a UPS Ground time-in-transit of 3 days or more, you MUST select UPS 2nd Day Air instead!
If you attempt to place an order using UPS Ground to a destination having a time-in-transit of 3 days or more, we will contact you and hold your order until a solution is reached. If no contact is made within 2 weeks, we will cancel your order.
Please allow a minimum of one (1) business day for your order to be processed, prior to being shipped. Any orders placed after 12PM EST will not begin processing until the following business day. We try our best to ship your order as quickly as possible; we are often able to process and ship orders on the same day that they are placed. However, depending on the volume of orders we are receiving at that point in time, this may not be the case. If you need to expedite your order, feel free to give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate.
You will receive tracking information via email once we have shipped the package - so make sure to add a valid email address to your order and be on the lookout for an email message!
ICE PACK POLICY
We are currently in the HOT Season. ALL SHIPPED ORDERS WILL INCLUDE AN ICE PACK BY DEFAULT! The additional cost for the ice pack is automatically figured into the cost of shipping at check out. You will see slightly higher shipping rates because of this. Additionally, you MUST select a shipping service level at checkout that displays two business days or less.
Please keep in mind that we are shipping a product that is highly susceptible to heat. Our goal is for every package to arrive at its destination in excellent condition, just as it was when it left our store. To ensure this, we include an ice pack (and insulation-lined boxes during extreme heat) with every order during the HOT season.

Additional Ice Pack Information
Our ice packs last a maximum of 48 hours. We only ship with an ice pack if your order was placed with 1 or 2 day shipping service, which can be UPS Ground (if the destination is within the 1 or 2 day delivery range) or UPS 2nd Day Air / Next Day Air service. If we were to ship an ice pack otherwise, i.e. 3 days or more in transit time, the ice pack will melt and be ineffective. Additionally, if your order is placed too close to the weekend, we may intentionally hold your order until the following Monday. The weekend adds additional transit time to your order and must be accounted for when considering the duration of the ice pack's effectiveness.
If the temperature is greater than 70°F either in Louisville or the destination and you place an order that do not meet these requirements, we will contact you first to confirm the order and suggest an ice pack and/or an expedited shipping option. If you choose to not include an ice pack and/or expedite shipping, we will not replace candy if it arrives melted and in certain cases we may completely refuse/refund your order if we know that the product will be ruined in transit. Please keep in mind that we are shipping a product that is highly susceptible to heat. Our goal is for every package to arrive at its destination in excellent condition, just as it was when it left our store.
During the HOT season, every order includes an ice pack by default, and the cost ($3.00) will be figured into the shipping price you see at checkout, so you do not need to manually add the ice pack. We also include foil-lined packing material during the hottest parts of the summer at no additional charge. During the COLD season, ice packs are optional and can be added to your cart manually. We operate in the COLD season when the forecasted high temperature in Louisville is around a 70°F or lower, on average. However, your order's destination may be hotter than 70°F, in which case an ice pack would be necessary. Please keep this in mind when placing your order and add one to your cart when necessary.
